It's often difficult making a painting or collage with too much "intention" behind it. You find that your intention takes over and you lose the spontaneity that -- in my opinion -- is required in order to make art. 

However, you can make something with a certain person or idea "in mind" and it can work out. Like with this collage I did for an old high school classmate and dear friend. 

Like with most of my work, not everything in the collage "means" something...but some of the elements of it are very meaningful. You'd have to have gone to school with us to understand some of it. In another way, I think it stands on its own.

For some reason I am particularly proud of this piece.
